About the Host

The Philippine Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Ateneo de Manila University cordially invite you to attend the 32nd PSBMB Annual Convention. This year’s theme focuses on the role of the biosciences in health and wellness. The convention will be a forum on current research in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology and other related fields to highlight their contributions to health and wellness.

The Departments of Biology and Chemistry of Ateneo de Manila University’s School of Science and Engineering are hosting the PSBMB annual convention for the first time.

The University began in 1859 as the Ateneo Municipal de Manila. In 1908, it became a college that offered bachelor's degrees and certificates in various disciplines. In 1959, the Ateneo became a university. In 2000, the School of Arts and Sciences divided into the School of Humanities, the John Gokongwei School of Management, the School of Science & Engineering, and the School of Social Sciences, under the banner of the Loyola Schools.

For more information general information about the Ateneo, please visit http://www.admu.edu.ph. You can also learn more about the School of Science and Engineering through its website at http://www.ateneo.edu/sose/.
