Peter James Icalia Gann is a molecular biologist whose interest revolves around understanding of the role of promoter elements in common genetic disorders and molecular mechanisms behind the health benefits of probiotics and medicinal plants.

His researches are published in top-tier journals and recognized by elite scientific societies in the United States of America through various awards such as the Henry Daniell International Scholar Award and Hope E. Hopps Award. Dr. Gann holds a doctoral degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Arkansas under a Fulbright scholarship.

In the northern Philippines, he founded and leads the Center for Cellular and Molecular Medical Research
(CMED) that caters to the omics needs of surrounding hospitals, universities and research institutions. He
also serves as Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the MMSU-College of Medicine and
Editor-In-Chief of the Science and Technology Journal.
